Terms and Conditions
Last updated: July 14, 2026
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the AML Paths website, platform, and related services (collectively, the "Service"), operated by AML Paths, LLC ("AML Paths," "we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use the Service.
1. Acceptance of Terms and Eligibility
By registering for or using the Service, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, and that you have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement. The Service is not directed at, and may not be used by, children under 13. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 13 without verified parental consent, we will delete that information.
We may update these Terms from time to time as described in Section 10. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
2. Account Registration
To access most features of the Service, you must create an account with accurate, current, and complete information. You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and password.
- All activity that occurs under your account, whether or not authorized by you.
- Notifying us immediately at the contact information in Section 11 if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, provided false information, or engaged in conduct harmful to the Service or other users. You may close your account at any time by contacting us; subscription cancellation is governed separately by Section 3.
3. Subscriptions and Payments
AML Paths offers paid subscription plans, including the Explorer plan and the Climber plan, each available on a monthly or annual billing cycle. Subscription fees are billed in advance and automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle unless cancelled prior to renewal.
- Billing cycles: Monthly plans renew every month; annual plans renew every 12 months at the then-current annual rate.
- Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation stops future renewals but does not end your current billing period early — you retain access to paid features through the end of the period you already paid for.
- Refunds: Fees are generally non-refundable, including for partial billing periods, except where required by applicable law or expressly stated otherwise at the time of purchase.
- Plan changes: If you upgrade from Explorer to Climber, we may charge a prorated amount for the remainder of your current billing period, with the full Climber rate applying at your next renewal.
- Price changes: We may change subscription pricing prospectively. We will provide notice before any price change takes effect for your next renewal.
Payments are processed through Base44 Payments, our third-party payment processor. We do not store your full payment card details.
4. Intellectual Property
All course content, lessons, quizzes, glossary entries, career tools, software, graphics, logos, and other materials made available through the Service (the "Content") are owned by AML Paths or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Content solely for your personal, non-commercial learning purposes. You may not:
- Copy, reproduce, distribute, publicly display, or create derivative works from the Content.
- Resell, sublicense, rent, or otherwise commercially exploit the Content.
- Remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices.
- Use automated means to scrape, extract, or bulk-download Content.
5. User Conduct
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Violate any applicable law or regulation.
- Post or share content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, or infringing on others' rights, including in the Community section.
- Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or related systems and networks.
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.
- Share your account credentials with, or provide access to, unauthorized third parties.
We reserve the right to remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section.
6. Course Access and Limitations
An active, paid subscription grants you a license to access the course modules, tools, and features included in your plan for as long as your subscription remains active and in good standing. Access to specific courses, tools, and features depends on your subscription tier (Explorer or Climber) as described on our Pricing page.
We do not guarantee that any specific course, lesson, or feature will remain available indefinitely. We may update, modify, add, or remove Content from time to time to keep materials current with regulatory and industry changes. Access ends upon expiration, cancellation, or termination of your subscription or account.
7. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
The Service, including all training materials, certification preparation content, career tools, and the platform certification exam, is provided for educational and informational purposes only. AML Paths does not guarantee any specific employment outcome, job placement, promotion, salary, passing score on any third-party certification exam (including the CAMS credential or any other industry credential), or career result from using the Service.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, AML PATHS AND ITS OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO AML PATHS IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.
8. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless AML Paths and its officers, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your use of the Service or your violation of these Terms.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States and the state in which AML Paths, LLC is organized, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in that state, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our Service, business practices, or applicable law. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you by email or an in-app notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
